Head & Eye Movement & Processing
Our research studies in this area are designed to answer the following questions:
Can head and eye movements, in response to visual cues, provide information as to the behavior of sensory and motor neurons in the superior colliculus?
What constitutes normal head turn kinetics?
Can age and gender impact on ‘normal’ kinematic behaviours?
How do head movements in individuals with cervical dystonia differ from the norm?
Are there typical characteristics of head turn kinetics associated with individuals with cervical dystonia and/or blepharospasm?
How can novel technical advances, e.g. head-mounted displays, be employed to benefit our research?
